Visit to the Rotary Club of Southwell 11th August

I was driven to Southwell by Rtn. Martin Cruttenden and we both enjoyed a very pleasant evening.  Over the bar I tried to clarify if the town should be called SOUTH WELL or SUTHEL.  The result was a 50/50 split.  I am still no wiser.
